Electrophysiology Lab

The electrophysiology lab at Lourdes utilizes advanced technology and procedures to diagnose, monitor and treat patients with heart rhythm disorders - also known as cardiac arrhythmia. Our highly trained arrhythmia specialists, who are called electrophysiologists, have a great deal of experience and expertise in performing electrophysiology studies and a wide range of other procedures to treat arrhythmia patients.

The Lourdes electrophysiology lab features the latest in state-of-the-art technology and equipment including the only Hansen Robot system in Acadiana. This innovative robotic catheter system gives our electrophysiologists more accurate and stable control of catheter movement during complex and delicate procedures used in treating arrhythmia.

Our comprehensive range of electrophysiology procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders includes:

  • Cardioversion
  • Diagnostic EP Studies
  • Catheter Ablation of Arrhythmias
  • Pacemaker and ICD Implants and Follow-up
  • Resynchronization Therapy for Heart Failure
