Thank you for your interest in Volunteering at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Our volunteers work to achieve the hospital's goal of providing the best possible care in a Christian Community while enjoying a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

Volunteers are an integral part of our Hospital; assisting patients, visitors, and staff in many capacities. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. Before becoming a volunteer, you will need to: 

  • Complete an application and submit references
  • Conduct a personal interview
  • Complete background check, health screening and Tuberculosis skin test.

Once accepted, you will participate in an orientation and training process. Hospital identification badges and uniforms will be provided and are required for all volunteers.

Types of Volunteers
  • Core Volunteers: Adults who volunteer consistently throughout the year and on a long term basis. 
  • College Student Volunteers: College Students who volunteer for at least a three month tenure to gain knowledge for their career path.
  • Summer Ambassadors: Students ages 15-17 who want to learn more about healthcare and volunteer in a structured environment.
